THE BUSINESS

The Saucy Chef has been opened for over five years and is a very highly regarded restaurant offering excellent cuisine and service. We have an opportunity to appoint a person who can maintain our existing high standards of service and continue growing the business.

The restaurant offers a blend of relaxed, casual dining and bar service in a modern setting. This business seats approximately 100 and operates for dinner service 7 days and lunch on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

THE ROLE
The position could be either full time or part time.
Key responsibilities will include:

• Achieving 100% total customer satisfaction;
• Staff training and development;
• Maintaining a positive and fun environment for customers and staff;
• Increase sales through upselling and high service standards;
• Wage cost management;
• Safety and cleanliness of premise.

THE PERSON
This position would suit an individual who is either currently in a similar role and is looking for a fresh challenge, or a person who has significant café/restaurant experience at a supervisory level and believes they are now ready to be a Restaurant Manager.

That person will also be responsible for growing our customer base by being actively involved in creating, planning and implementing various promotions to attract new customers while adding some interest and fun to our existing customers’ experience.

A Manager’s Certificate would certainly be helpful but not immediately required as long as the successful candidate can get one.
